An international summit dedicated to child welfare and safety took place in Samarkand. It was attended by first ladies from various countries, representatives of the UN, UNICEF, the World Bank, the World Health Organization, and other international organizations.

Speaking at the event, Shakhnoza Mirziyoyeva emphasized that ensuring the health, well-being, and safety of children is one of the top priorities for every state.

Touching upon the concept that «children are our future», she noted that children are not only the future for parents, but also an essential part of today's life.

«For a parent, a child is not just the future. A child is our present», — said Shakhnoza Mirziyoyeva.

According to her, protecting children begins with being by their side, ensuring their safety, and providing help when needed.

Shakhnoza Mirziyoyeva stated that the expansion of the digital environment, global instability, and various conflicts are bringing new threats to the safety of children and families. To solve these problems, it was emphasized that cooperation among the state, business, civil society, and international organizations must be strengthened.

«Today, the happiness, health, and safety of our children are in our hands. Therefore, our responsibility to children starts not tomorrow, but right today», — she said.
