The hokimiyat of Nishan district, Kashkadarya region, has raised the issue of cancelling the agricultural land lease agreements of two limited liability companies.

This was requested in a letter sent by the khokim of Nishan district on May 1, 2026, to the head of the Kashkadarya regional department of the Inspectorate for Control over the Agro-Industrial Complex under the Ministry of Agriculture.

The document refers to Nishan Chickens S LLC and Khudoyberdi Bobo Agro Chorvasi LLC. As you may recall, recently EFFECT.UZ raised the issue related to Nishan Chickens S LLC, and it turned out that there were indeed a number of shortcomings in the enterprise's activities; specifically, although its main activity is poultry farming, not a single bird was found in the LLC.

According to reports, 36.09 hectares of land, of which 34.91 hectares are irrigated land, were allocated to Nishan Chickens S LLC in 2020 for the purpose of developing poultry farming. On January 1, 2024, a long-term lease agreement was concluded between the district khokim and the head of the company, and registered with the cadastre agency.

Meanwhile, Khudoyberdi Bobo Agro Chorvasi LLC was allocated 21 hectares of land in 2020 for the development of vegetable-melon growing and livestock breeding, out of which 16 hectares are irrigated land. A long-term lease agreement was also concluded with this company.

As noted in the hokimiyat's letter, monitoring by the district agricultural department revealed that Khudoyberdi Bobo Agro Chorvasi LLC failed to plant the crops specified in the agreement on the land plots during 2024–2026, and some lands were left abandoned.

The document states that as a result of the irresponsibility of the heads of the two companies, land lease terms were systematically violated, land was not used rationally, agrotechnical measures were grossly violated, and water resources were used inefficiently.

On this basis, the hokimiyat of Nishan district asked the Agro-Industrial Complex Control Inspectorate to study these circumstances and submit an appropriate presentation to file a lawsuit in court for the cancellation of the land lease agreements concluded with the two companies.

In its appeal, the hokimiyat relied on Articles 36 and 38 of the Land Code, as well as the norms of Cabinet of Ministers Resolution No. 22 dated October 31, 2013. The document states that the procedure for terminating land rights, including lease rights, is provided for in cases where land is not used rationally.

Importantly, the document itself indicates that a presentation is being requested to file a lawsuit in court to cancel the land lease agreements.
