President Shavkat Mirziyoyev got acquainted with the activities of the Digital Management Center established at the Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Combine.
While getting acquainted with the center's activities, the President emphasized that there are great opportunities for increasing efficiency through artificial intelligence, especially in the mining and metallurgical sectors.
At the same time, special attention was paid to the necessity of widely introducing modern resource-saving technologies in order to use water resources rationally.
Right there, the head of state was presented with plans for further digitalization of the combine's production and technological processes.
As noted, all processes from mining ore to producing finished goods are being gradually digitalized. Over the next five years, it is envisaged to widely introduce artificial intelligence solutions at each stage.
Information was also provided on the progress of digitalizing mines based on geological and surveying data accumulated over eighty years. In particular, the "Digital Mine" system makes it possible to determine the exact directions of daily, weekly, and monthly excavation work.
The condition of pit roads is monitored based on artificial intelligence, and the pressure and temperature of dump truck tires are tracked through sensors. As a result of such continuous monitoring, the service life of the tires has been increased by 14 percent.
It was pointed out that training specialists who have deeply mastered modern technologies in the field, and educating personnel based on new working methods and digital solutions, is one of the priority tasks. Special attention was also paid to the issue of expanding the scope of patent operations.
The necessity of patenting scientific and technological solutions applied at every stage in the factory, strengthening cooperation with authorized organizations in this regard, and defining promising innovative directions was emphasized.
As noted, a new patent means a new technology, a new production direction, and new markets. Taking into account that our country's rich raw material base creates broad opportunities for entering global markets, the task was set to develop clear approaches regarding how many more patents can be obtained in which promising directions in 2026.
