If Uzbek citizens working abroad are deceived or their labor rights are violated, mechanisms for protecting them and, when necessary, paying compensation will be established. Prompt working groups will also be organized to return citizens who find themselves in difficult situations to the Homeland.
Today, at a meeting chaired by the head of state, problems in the field of external labor migration and tasks to be implemented in the future were discussed.
At the meeting, attention was drawn to such problems as the insufficient protection of the rights of citizens going to work abroad, some of our compatriots falling for various deceptions, and the violation of their labor rights.
Now, a great responsibility in this regard is also placed on private labor migration agencies. New tasks have been defined to place young people who know foreign languages in high-paying jobs, create decent working conditions for them, and protect their rights.
It is also envisaged to establish mechanisms for paying compensation to citizens whose labor rights have been violated abroad.
Another important innovation is that special working groups will be organized to identify Uzbek citizens who have fallen into difficult situations abroad and quickly return them to the Homeland.
The head of state emphasized that the rights of every citizen going abroad or returning from a foreign country must be protected, stating that the state provides a guarantee in this regard.
Now the most important issue is how the defined tasks will be implemented in practice and how effectively the protection mechanisms created for our compatriots abroad will work.
