Officers of the Ecopolice of the Main Department of Ecology and Climate Change of Tashkent Region conducted raid events at enterprises operating in Yukori Chirchik district.
During the raids, a number of violations related to the treatment of wastewater generated during production processes and its disposal in the established manner were detected. In particular, it was revealed that wastewater generated during the processing of sand-gravel mixtures at the enterprises “B.S.I.”, “M.K.”, “P.U.”, “Ş.R.B.” and “S.S.P.” was discharged into open areas without being sufficiently treated.
As a result of laboratory analyses of wastewater samples taken regarding these cases, it was recorded that the amount of suspended solids was several times higher than the established norm. Also, at the “I.Q.S.” specialized repair and construction organization, wastewater was discharged into open areas without being sufficiently treated, and a positive conclusion from the ecological expertise was not obtained for the above cases.
Regarding the situation, compensation payments have been calculated for each enterprise, and the collected documents to give a legal assessment of the shortcomings identified during the inspection will be sent to law enforcement agencies.
