In Namangan, a person who promised to transfer a citizen to the 3rd year of a private university was detained while receiving 18 million soums. The Ministry of Education and Science warned against such cases.
According to information distributed on social networks, this person was detained during an operational event by the Namangan regional department of the Department for Combating Economic Crimes under the General Prosecutor's Office, and a criminal case has been initiated regarding the incident.
The Ministry of Education and Science urged citizens not to believe promises related to admission to studies or transferring studies from another HEI, such as “we will enroll you in the 3rd year without exams” and “we will transfer it after the deadline.”
According to current procedures, applications for transferring studies from foreign and non-state higher education organizations are accepted annually from July 15 to August 5 via a special electronic platform.
The transfer of studies is carried out based on the results of special tests conducted by the Agency for Assessment of Knowledge and Skills.
Also, orders regarding students admitted to non-state HEIs must be registered in the HEMIS system no later than October 1.
The ministry urges citizens to use only established procedures and official platforms, and to check that their information is entered into the HEMIS system after admission.
Suspicious offers or cases of law violations can be reported via the Anti-Corruption Agency's short number 1253 or the ministry's short number 1006.
Note: trusting individuals who promise to resolve admission or transfer of studies for money, bypassing established procedures, can lead to financial loss and liability before the law.
