An objection was received by the Effect.uz editorial office regarding the actions of military personnel of military unit 99818 under the Ministry of Defense and the act drawn up concerning a citizen's appeal.
According to the author of the appeal, on September 28, 2026, they complained to the Presidential Administration and the Ministry of Defense via the murojaat.gov.uz and pm.gov.uz platforms regarding illegal searches and other actions committed against them by military personnel of military unit 99818.
According to the citizen, on October 21, 2026, response letter No. A-68 and the attached act posted on the murojaat.gov.uz website were received from the Ministry of Defense. The document states that Lieutenant Colonel T. Sadikov held a telephone conversation with the author of the appeal, provided explanations regarding the situation, and that the citizen expressed satisfaction with these explanations and stated that they had no complaints.
However, the author of the appeal refutes the information in the act. They claim that while a phone call did indeed take place, the substance of the appeal was not discussed during the conversation. According to the citizen, they were only asked for their residential address to send the response letter.
The applicant stated that they possess the audio recording of that phone conversation and claim that the information recorded in the act does not correspond to reality.
They are asking the Ministry of Defense and the Military Prosecutor's Office of the Navoi region to check the authenticity of the information in the act, study the audio recording of the phone call, give a legal assessment of the actions of Lieutenant Colonel T. Sadikov, and re-examine deeply the actions of the military personnel of military unit 99818 indicated in the initial appeal.
The author of the appeal also objected to the inclusion of views not expressed by the citizen into an official document on their behalf and subsequently reporting that «there are no complaints», assessing this as contrary to the principles of justice and legality.
