Tashkent may be covered by toxic air again
Today, on the evening of November 7, the concentration of PM particles may increase in the city of Tashkent, and air quality may deteriorate to an "unhealthy" level. This was reported by the National Committee for Ecology and Climate Change.
As noted, on the morning of November 7, according to the International AQI index, air quality improved to a "moderate" level. However, in the evening hours, due to weak wind and unfavorable meteorological conditions, an increase in the concentration of PM particles is expected.
According to the forecast, on November 8, air quality will mostly be at "moderate" and "unhealthy for sensitive groups" levels. On the morning of November 9, a "moderate" level may be observed.
According to the national index, during this period, air quality is expected to be mostly "yellow", and for short periods "orange". During daytime hours, due to the rise in air temperature and changes in vertical air exchange, air quality is expected to improve.
According to the committee's information, raid measures aimed at improving air quality are being continued in a 24/7 mode. During the latest raids, the activities of a total of 95 objects in Tashkent region and the capital were studied.
As noted, on November 6, air quality in Tashkent reached a "green" level. In general, in October, air quality improved compared to the corresponding period of last year.
