A Russian citizen who caused a drunken disturbance on a flight from Malaysia to Tashkent and insulted flight attendants and passengers has been sentenced to 7 days of administrative arrest.
According to court documents, the incident occurred on November 5, 2026, during the Kuala Lumpur – Tashkent flight on flight HY-552.
It was reported that Russian citizen V.K., while intoxicated aboard the aircraft, shouted and disturbed the peace of the passengers. He treated a flight attendant rudely and insulted both her and other passengers. Attempts to calm him down yielded no results.
After the plane landed at Tashkent International Airport, internal affairs officers asked the passenger to disembark and go to the administrative building to provide an explanation regarding the situation. However, he refused to obey the lawful demands of the officers, even throwing his hand luggage from the aircraft stairs to the ground and kicking it.
During the court hearing, V.K. pleaded guilty. He stated that he had asked the flight attendant for alcohol during the flight, but was refused due to his intoxication. Following this, a dispute arose between them. The Russian citizen expressed remorse for his actions.
On November 6, the Sergeli District Court on Criminal Cases found V.K. guilty under Article 183 (petty hooliganism) and Article 194, part one (failure to comply with the lawful demands of internal affairs organs) of the Administrative Responsibility Code.
According to the court decision, he was sentenced to 7 days of administrative arrest for petty hooliganism and fined 440 thousand soms for failing to comply with the lawful demands of the internal affairs officers.
As a result of combining the penalties, the Russian citizen was given a final sentence of 7 days of administrative arrest.
