A pre-investigation check has begun in Tashkent regarding a video shared on social media by a blogger known as Umr.Şam on Instagram, who has nearly 600,000 subscribers.
According to reports, the blogger recently posted a video reacting to a music video by singer Mubina Abbosxonova — Mubinlolo. This video caused sharp discussions among the public.
«Nemolçi.uz» project's appeal emphasized that in the video, the blogger assessed the singer's work as contrary to national spirituality and demonstrated scenes hinting at killing her and putting her body in a black bag.
Also, the video expressed the opinion that people who forgot their identity and honor have increased in society, and asked to bring black bags again. At the end of the video, the state flag of Uzbekistan and the flag of the Ministry of Internal Affairs were depicted.
The appeal noted that the video was viewed by more than a million people within a few days, and it promoted ideas of violence and self-willed punishment. Later, this video was deleted from the blogger's page.
A pre-investigation check is being conducted regarding the incident by the Department for Coordination of Internal Affairs Activities of Almazar district. According to the Tashkent City DIA, the person who posted the video has been identified and the situation has been taken under control.
Following the check, a legal assessment will be given to the situation and a legal decision will be ensured.
Earlier, blogger Nikita Makarenko stated that these actions could be given a legal assessment from the perspective of Article 244-1, part 1 of the Criminal Code — the norm related to the preparation, storage, distribution, or demonstration of materials threatening public safety and public order.
For now, there is no information that a final legal assessment has been given to the blogger's actions. The appropriate decision is expected to be made based on the results of the pre-investigation check.
