A meeting involving buyers and officials was held regarding the conflict associated with the «Imarat Development» company. Rasul Kusherbayev announced this in his statement.
According to him, the Tashkent city prosecutor and the city internal affairs department participated in the meeting. It was stated that investigative actions are ongoing against the company's main founders, Marat and Jasur Azizov, and precautionary measures have been applied against them.
Rasul Kusherbayev emphasized that the Tashkent city prosecutor stated that property belonging to the founders, estimated at approximately 120 million US dollars, is being inventoried and evaluated. It was mentioned that this property is viewed as a guarantee to ensure the interests of buyers in case construction remains unfinished or if there is a need to return money to buyers. It was also reported that work is continuing on several of the company's construction projects.
In particular, it is planned to hand over 16 blocks in the «Sergeli City» project in the Surum area of Tashkent region by January 2027. However, taking into account the construction processes, Rasul Kusherbayev estimated that this deadline might be postponed to March.
The plan to complete six blocks in the «Bristol» project by January was also announced. In the «Tuzel Park» project, it was stated that construction work is being accelerated, while in «Eko Park», project documents are currently being revised and undergoing expertise due to requirements related to proximity to the airport.
The meeting also discussed the issue of buyers returning their paid funds or getting an apartment from another, faster-completing object.
According to Rasul Kusherbayev, buyers who want to cancel the contract should apply to the company office, and those wishing to move to another object will be offered apartments from projects that will be completed as soon as possible. It was promised to keep the previous contract price in this process.
At the same time, an answer was given to some buyers' question about whether it is possible to temporarily suspend making subsequent payments. Kusherbayev emphasized that in such a matter, each buyer must separately take into account their contract and obligations.
According to his information, the investigative group of the internal affairs bodies is forming a list of buyers and shareholders. Investigators will contact each citizen individually and study their demands and objections. In particular, it will be determined who wants to buy an apartment and who wants to get their funds back.
Rasul Kusherbayev urged buyers to personally visit the construction sites and see the state of the work with their own eyes. In his opinion, citizens should make decisions based on the actual construction process rather than the promises of the builders.
For now, detailed official information has not been disclosed regarding the exact composition of the 120 million dollar property, the mechanism for returning buyers' funds, and the updated handover deadlines for each project.
