The National Social Protection Agency reported on the work carried out during the first nine months of 2026. The briefing provided information on families included in the social register, supporting persons with disabilities, protecting children, providing assistance to victims of violence, and changes in the social insurance system.
According to the agency, today through the Inson social services centers operating in 208 districts and cities of the country, as well as social workers in neighborhoods, 140 types of social services and assistance are being provided to the population.
530 thousand families included in the social register
Since the beginning of the year, the Single Social Protection Register and the Register of Impoverished Families were merged, introducing a single Social Register system. In it, the socio-economic status of families is evaluated based on 85 criteria.
As of October 1, 530 thousand families, meaning 2.2 million people, have been included in the register. As noted in the agency's report, as a result of the provided services and support measures, the income of 26.5 thousand families increased by 1.5 times.
During the reporting period, nearly 426 thousand child allowances and 563 thousand electricity and natural gas compensations were paid. Also, 16.3 thousand families were allocated interest-free loans worth 318.2 billion sums, and the education contracts of 3 thousand young people were paid.
Employment ensured for 83 thousand persons with disabilities
According to the agency's data, there are 1.1 million persons with disabilities registered in the republic.
During the reporting period, a single standard for determining disability was introduced. Now, the same 120-day treatment period is not required for all diseases. Depending on the nature of the disease, a period of 30, 60, 90, or 120 days is established.
Additionally, the procedure for determining disability for 21 additional diseases and establishing it indefinitely for 30 diseases has been introduced. Based on the new standard, disability was determined for 267.3 thousand persons.
Furthermore, 77.3 thousand persons were provided with prosthetic and orthopedic appliances and rehabilitation equipment. Employment was ensured for 83 thousand persons with disabilities.
New services have also been launched for children with disabilities. Early intervention services are provided to children under 3 years old, and day care services to those from 3 to 18 years old. Through these services, 6.7 thousand children were covered, and vouchers were formed for another 1.7 thousand children.
Inclusive education: 11.7 thousand children covered
This year, inclusive education was organized in 1,486 schools and 3,950 inclusive classes were established. 5.8 thousand children are studying in them.
Services worth 227.2 billion sums provided to persons in need of care
Within the framework of the Step to Active Life program, five types of social services based on vouchers worth 227.2 billion sums were provided to 55.4 thousand elderly persons in need of outsider care.
