The conflict surrounding «Iman Invest» has entered a new phase. Following mutual accusations between the company head and the international auditor, financial documents have also been made public. Discussions surrounding this issue are now expanding further.
In our previous material, we reported that cooperation between the «Iman Invest» company and the Islamic Finance Compliance Board (IFCB) had been suspended, and that serious objections regarding the company's activities had been raised.
On October 25, Mahmud Usman, a member of the IFCB council and an international auditor, announced that cooperation with the company had been completely terminated. According to him, the conducted checks raised serious questions regarding the use of investors' funds, financial operations, and compliance with Islamic finance requirements.
Mahmud Usman also stated that there was a deficit of several million dollars in the company's operations. He further expressed objections regarding the redirection of investors' funds toward certain expenses.
Not long after, Rustam Rakhmatov, the founder and head of «Iman Invest», also released a video message. He rejected the accusations made by the auditor.
The head of the company also mentioned previous audit results and provided information regarding documents related to financial activities and the results of the new inspection.
However, Mahmud Usman did not agree with these explanations. He rejected the claims made against him and stated that documents related to the company's activities, decisions of the audit commission, and materials confirming financial operations do exist.
According to the auditor's statement, the documents also reflect issues related to car purchases and other financial operations. He emphasized that the questions raised regarding the fate of investors' funds must be answered based on documents.
Following this, the conflict went beyond a mere disagreement between the two parties and became a subject of broader discussion. In particular, public activists and blogger-journalists also touched upon this topic from their own perspectives.
Currently, there are a number of important questions awaiting answers regarding this conflict. How were investors' funds managed? To what extent are the financial objections against the company's activities confirmed by documents? How will an independent investigation bring clarity to the contradictory statements between the parties?
In finding answers to these questions, alongside the statements of the parties, financial reports, independent audit conclusions, and the official stance of authorized bodies will also be of significant importance.
