At the Central Asian International Education Forum that kicked off in Tashkent, the address of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev to the conference participants was read out. The address was read by Presidential Press Secretary Sherzod Asadov.
Representatives from more than 40 countries, including ministers of education and science, nearly 500 local and foreign university leaders, and over 1,000 experts are participating in the forum.
In the President's address, it was emphasized that mutual trust, good-neighborliness, and partnership are strengthening among Central Asian countries. It was noted that the region's greatest wealth, with a population of nearly 85 million, is the young generation striving for knowledge.
«The most effective path in turning this vast demographic potential into a powerful intellectual force is quality, modern education and upbringing», — states the address.
Attention was also focused on education reforms, enhancing the role of teachers and mentors, and strengthening cooperation between schools, technical schools, universities, and production.
The President emphasized the necessity of developing artificial intelligence and modern engineering directions, increasing joint programs and research among universities, and supporting the exchange of students and scientists.
The head of state expressed confidence that practical proposals would be put forward within the framework of the forum to transform Central Asia into a common intellectual space united by science, enlightenment, high technologies, and innovations.
