Entrepreneurs wishing to build small and micro HPPs are offered practical assistance in processes ranging from design, equipment, and construction to financing.
Today, on August 11, an open dialogue with entrepreneurs was held at the "UzHydroPower" plant in the Bostanliq district of Tashkent region, with the participation of Islom Abdurahmonov, Chairman of the Management Board of "Uzbekhydroenergo" JSC.
The event discussed issues of developing the hydropower sector, expanding the construction of small and micro HPPs, and increasing private sector participation on the basis of public-private partnership.
The dialogue was attended by officials from "Gidroproekt" JSC under the "Uzbekhydroenergo" system, "Turonbank", and about 20 entrepreneurs. During the event, entrepreneurs were briefed on processes including site selection for small and micro HPPs, designing, developing technical solutions, selecting and delivering hydro-units, turbines and generators, organizing construction and assembly works, and commissioning the facility.
Specialists also answered entrepreneurs' questions regarding the preparation of design and estimate documentation, technical requirements, equipment selection, and financing issues.
Representatives of "Turonbank" provided information on opportunities to use preferential loans, financing conditions, and necessary procedures.
"Uzbekhydroenergo" JSC expressed its readiness to support the initiatives of private sector representatives and provide organizational, technical, and practical assistance in the process from the initial stage to full commissioning of projects.
Special attention during the dialogue was also paid to the production capabilities of the "UzHydroPower" plant. Established in cooperation with China's "Zhejiang Jinlun Electromechanic Co., Ltd.", the enterprise produces hydro-units, turbines, generators, water pump units, and metal structures for reservoirs with capacities ranging from 1 kW to 40 MW.
It was emphasized that this production capacity expands the opportunities for supplying small and micro HPP projects with localized modern equipment. At the end of the open dialogue, proposals and appeals from entrepreneurs were reviewed, practical solutions for the raised issues were determined, and relevant tasks were assigned to responsible officials.
