It is reported that in Oltinsoy, a driver who disobeyed the lawful stop signal of a DPS inspector tried to escape, and a pursuit began. As a result, a traffic accident occurred and one person was injured.
According to the information of the DIA CSD STSI, the incident occurred on October 18, 2026, around 08:20 in the «Yangi qurilish» neighborhood of the district.
According to preliminary data, a Captiva car driven by a person without a driving license did not obey the lawful stop signal of the DPS inspector and continued moving.
The inspector pursued him in an official «Lacetti» car. At that moment, a collision occurred as the Captiva driver cut into the path of the «Lacetti» moving on the main road.
As a result of the incident, the driver of the «Lacetti» received bodily injuries and was taken to the district medical association.
Currently, a pre-investigation check is being conducted on the situation by the Oltinsoy district prosecutor's office.
Also, an internal investigation has been appointed against the DPS inspector by responsible employees of the Surkhandarya region DIA.
