Operations of an enterprise in Namangan were suspended

Territorial departments of the National Committee of Ecology and Climate Change are continuing raid measures aimed at improving ambient air quality and positively resolving appeals received from citizens.

In particular, based on appeals from citizens regarding breathing difficulties caused by smoke and dust from lime and brick manufacturing enterprises, the Andijan regional main department of Ecology and Climate Change carried out relevant inspection and control measures. During the inspections, the activities of lime and brick manufacturing enterprises were brought under control, and officials were given explanations on protecting ambient air, complying with established environmental standards, and organizing production processes based on current regulatory requirements.

In addition, the efficiency of dust and gas cleaning equipment installed in the enterprises was studied, and samples were taken for laboratory analysis. The obtained samples will be tested in the prescribed manner, and measures will be taken in accordance with the law based on the analysis results. Furthermore, 2 makeshift lime-burning furnaces discovered in the regions were eliminated and legal measures were taken.

Moreover, the Namangan regional main department of Ecology and Climate Change also conducted a control-raid measure regarding compliance with environmental requirements at the "S.M." brick manufacturing enterprise. During the inspection, it was revealed that the enterprise was emitting a high level of dust and gas into the atmosphere, its activities were temporarily suspended, and instructions were given to eliminate the identified shortcomings.

Raid measures are being continued in all regions of the republic.
