The Tashkent City Prosecutor's Office continues oversight measures over the investigation of criminal cases related to disputed construction projects in the capital.
On November 3, with the participation of acting Tashkent City Prosecutor Anvar Ormonov and Deputy Head of the City DIA Dilmurod Mirsodiqov, the investigative status of criminal cases under the proceedings of the Investigative Department under the DIA was analyzed.
As reported, during the inspection process, special attention was paid to fraud cases related to the sale of apartments in multi-story houses being built in the capital by «IZMIR ART STROY», «GLAMOUR GOLD», «STRONG CITY», «CITY OIL» and «IMARAT DEVELOPMENT» companies.
One of the main issues here is ensuring the property rights of citizens in disputed construction objects.
According to the Prosecutor's Office, the arguments of citizens and representatives of construction companies were studied based on the evidence collected within the framework of the criminal cases. Appropriate instructions were given to those responsible for organizing investigative actions fully and impartially.
At the same time, in order to protect the housing rights of citizens, tasks have been assigned to industry representatives to eliminate problems associated with the construction of multi-story buildings.
This information is also significant against the background of previously reported information regarding the situation with IMARAT DEVELOPMENT.
In particular, as Rasul Kusherbayev reported, property belonging to the company's founders worth approximately 120 million dollars has been inventoried and is being evaluated. According to him, this measure is being taken from the perspective of covering potential damages and ensuring the possibility of returning citizens' funds.
It was also stated that work is underway to continue construction work at IMARAT DEVELOPMENT facilities, hand over certain projects sooner, and separately register the demands of citizens who want a refund instead of an apartment. Currently, investigative processes regarding these criminal cases are ongoing.
The most important question for citizens remains open: how will the right of buyers who paid money in disputed construction objects to housing or refunds be ensured in practice?
This question should be clarified by the investigation results, the current state of construction, and the subsequent decisions of responsible agencies.
