Entrepreneurs who have been working for many years at the Navoi Trade Complex say they are not against the president's resolution or decree. However, their concern is that if their shops are put up for auction, they will not have the financial ability to buy back their workplaces.

EFFECT.UZ editorial office was contacted by a group of entrepreneurs operating at the Navoi Trade Complex in the city of Navoi.

According to the appellants, the trading shops belonging to them may be put up for auction. The entrepreneurs emphasize that they are not against the decision, but not everyone has the opportunity to participate in the auction and repurchase the shops where they have been working for years.

“We feed our children through these shops. If they take our shops away, where will we go? Give us the opportunity to work in these places,” say the appellants.

According to the entrepreneurs, more than 250 entrepreneurs operate in the trade complex. For some of them, this trading place is the main and permanent source of income.

Therefore, the issue of losing shops can affect not only the entrepreneur's business, but also their family and source of livelihood.

Regarding the issue, the entrepreneurs also communicated with the mayor of the city. The mayor stated that it is necessary to give entrepreneurs some time and take their conditions into account. He also said that there are other places for the auction and stated that he will try to find a solution to this issue.

He emphasized that if this is not possible, it is necessary to warn the entrepreneurs at least one month in advance.

The main question that interests entrepreneurs now is this:

How will the interests of entrepreneurs who have been working in this place for many years be protected?

EFFECT.UZ asks the Navoi city administration and other responsible organizations to study the appeal of entrepreneurs on this issue and find a legal and practical solution taking into account their labor and source of livelihood.

Because here we are not just talking about trading shops — we are talking about the livelihoods and jobs of hundreds of entrepreneurs and their families.
