Heavy rain and wind in the provinces of Istanbul, Yalova, and Kocaeli may cause the risk of flooding. Uzbek citizens have been asked to follow precautionary measures.
The Consulate General of Uzbekistan in Istanbul urged Uzbek citizens living and temporarily staying in the Turkish provinces of Istanbul, Yalova, and Kocaeli to remain vigilant due to worsening weather conditions.
According to the Consulate General, heavy rain, wind, and adverse weather conditions may pose risks of floods, traffic difficulties on roads, and other emergencies.
In this regard, citizens are advised not to travel long distances unless necessary, and to stay away from low-lying areas prone to water accumulation, underpasses, and tunnels during heavy precipitation.
They are also urged to exercise caution near seashores, trees, power transmission lines, and unstable structures, as well as to reduce speed and maintain a safe distance while driving.
The Consulate General called on citizens to follow official warnings and recommendations announced by Turkey's authorized bodies, and to pay special attention to their own safety and the health of their loved ones.
