On March 18, 2023, a car crash in the Zomin district of Jizzakh region resulted in the deaths of two employees who worked in the prosecutor's office. However, despite two years having passed, the mother of the deceased continues to suffer over this incident.

According to the case files, Elyor Kenjayev, an assistant trainee working at the Zomin district prosecutor's office, and Abdulaziz Quziboyev, an office worker, died at the scene as a result of the tragedy. Another employee, investigator Doston Ziyadullayev, was rushed to the hospital in critical condition.

According to official information, the accident occurred as a result of Elyor Kenjayev driving a vehicle while under the influence of alcohol. A criminal case was initiated regarding this situation under Article 266 of the Criminal Code, and the case was later dismissed in accordance with the relevant norms of the Criminal Procedure Code.

However, Sanobar Kenjayeva, the mother of the deceased, views these conclusions with suspicion. She emphasizes that a month before the accident, her son had wanted to quit his job for unexplained reasons. The mother does not consider this situation to be a mere coincidence.

Kenjayeva stated that, being dissatisfied with the expert examination conclusions, she repeatedly appealed to the district and regional prosecutor's offices requesting a re-examination and a reinvestigation of the case. According to her, these appeals were not reviewed to a sufficient degree.

Only after an appeal was made to the Prosecutor General of the Republic did efforts to review the case begin. However, it was reported that the case was dismissed again on September 18, 2025.

To this day, the mother is searching for an answer to one question: is this incident truly an ordinary traffic accident, or were there other factors involved?

While acknowledging that her child cannot be brought back, Sanobar Kenjayeva is demanding only justice and the truth. She is asking for the case to be reinvestigated to shed light on the suspicious circumstances.

The editorial board of Effect.uz continues to study the documents provided regarding this case. Efforts are also underway to obtain an official response from the Jizzakh regional prosecutor's office and other responsible agencies.
