Navoi is transforming into a logistics and industrial hub: New flights to Delhi and major industrial agreements with Iran

During the meetings, the khokim of Navoi region discussed the launch of regular cargo flights on the Navoi-Delhi-Navoi route with Ravi Nayar, Managing Director of "Sun Aviation Pvt. Ltd." Currently, an initial trial batch of dried fruit products has been sent to India along this route. According to the agreement, in the initial phase, cargo transportations will be carried out with 7 aircraft per week, and later it is planned to increase the number of flights up to 4 per day. This air corridor will create a targeted distribution system for import and export products between India, Central Asian countries, and Afghanistan.

At the same time, a food logistics cluster will be established on the basis of the cargo hub in the airport area, and infrastructure for storing, sorting, and packaging meat and other products will be launched. To maintain product quality, an uninterrupted "cold logistics chain" will be provided using special refrigerators. In addition, special attention was paid to attracting leading pharmaceutical companies from India to the region and establishing joint production of medicines. The official opening ceremony of the Navoi-Delhi-Navoi cargo corridor will be held on August 20.

Yesterday, an interregional business forum was also held at the "Spirituality and Enlightenment" center in Navoi city, with the participation of a comprehensive delegation led by Mehdi Zandiye Vakili, Governor of the Central Province of the Islamic Republic of Iran, and Mohammad Ali Eskandari, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Iran to Uzbekistan. The delegation included more than 50 representatives from sectors such as agriculture, food, metallurgy, mining, oil and gas, chemical, and automotive industries.

During the negotiations, 3 main directions aimed at combining the raw material base of Navoi region with the high industrial and engineering potential of the Central Province were put forward:

● Chemical and petrochemical cluster: Localization of PVC pipes, cables, resins, and water treatment reagents based on PVC, carbamide, methanol, and caustic soda produced at "Navoiyazot" JSC. Launching the production of household chemicals and detergents based on the experience of Iran's Saveh and Kaveh industrial zones.

● Heavy engineering and industrial service: Formation of a service cluster to meet the needs of industrial giants such as NMMC, "Navoiuran", and "Kyzylkumcement" for mining and technological equipment on the spot.

● Energy and electrical engineering: Creation of a local assembly base for transformers, distribution devices, and renewable energy equipment in the territory of the "Navoi" FEZ.

Within the framework of the forum, an exhibition of local products, B2B and G2B negotiations were held, and Iranian specialists, divided into 5 sectoral groups, got acquainted with the activities of major enterprises in the region. At the end of the event, memorandums of cooperation were signed between the hokimiyats of the two regions and the Chambers of Commerce and Industry. Readiness was expressed to implement joint projects utilizing the opportunities of the Navoi International Airport and the "porto-franco" free customs zone.
