The scandals surrounding «Imarat Development» have moved to a new stage within the framework of a criminal case. Project owner Marat Khamdamov and another individual have been detained by investigative authorities in a procedural manner.
Kun.uz source reports, citing information from the Tashkent City DIA, that the owner of the «Imarat Development» construction project, Marat Khamdamov, has been involved as a suspect in a criminal case being conducted by the Tashkent City DIA.
He was detained in accordance with Article 227 of the Criminal Procedure Code. According to the Tashkent City DIA, M.Kh. and J.A. were also detained within the framework of the criminal case.
We recall that citizens' objections arose after apartments in a number of construction projects by «Imarat Development» were not handed over to buyers within the deadlines specified in the contracts.
Earlier, the Investigation Department of the Tashkent City DIA reported that a criminal case had been initiated against the management of «Imarat Development» LLC, located on Buyuk Avlod Street in Sergeli district, under Article 168 (fraud) and Article 192-11 of the Criminal Code.
For information, Article 227 of the CPC establishes the procedure for bringing a person to internal affairs or other law enforcement agencies based on a decision by an inquirer, investigator, or prosecutor regarding detention.
It should be noted that detention does not mean a person's guilt has been proven by a court. A final legal assessment of the criminal case will be given as a result of the investigation and court proceedings.
