It is reported that the telephone conversation between US Vice President JD Vance and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was "tense." According to sources, the parties hold opposing positions on resolving the conflict related to Iran.

Reports say that while Vance favors resolving the conflict through negotiations, Netanyahu is promoting the idea of completely destroying the current regime in Iran.

Vance, a veteran of the Iraq War, has long been known for his cautious approach to US military involvement in foreign conflicts.

He previously emphasized that Washington must "not repeat the mistakes of the past" in its foreign policy. At the same time, it is noted that he agreed to the start of the conflict only under the condition of achieving results in a short period through a "quick and powerful strike." However, contrary to expectations, the Iranian side continues to resist.

Vance assessed some of Netanyahu's predictions as exaggerated, in particular expressing skepticism about the likelihood of regime change in Iran through a mass uprising.

"Before the war, Netanyahu made the situation look like it would be resolved easily and quickly. The Vice President re-evaluated these statements based on a realistic approach, without emotion," says one of the sources.

At the same time, it is reported that Vance has also held negotiations with UAE and Qatar delegations and is participating in indirect dialogues with Iran. These actions are aimed at showing that the US administration intends to end the war as soon as possible.

However, Saudi Arabia remains in favor of continuing military operations, much like Israel.

Meanwhile, US President Donald Trump asked Vance to provide updated information on the war during a cabinet meeting and requested his active participation in the negotiation process.
