The integration of the Turkic world is entering a new stage — Tashkent is becoming an important hub.
Firdavs Abdukholikov, Director of the Center of Islamic Civilization in Uzbekistan, held a meeting with the leadership of TURKSOY, the International Organization of Turkic Culture.
During the negotiations, issues of expanding cultural and humanitarian cooperation between Turkic-speaking countries, implementing joint initiatives in the fields of science and education, and strengthening practical ties were discussed.
The parties emphasized that the preservation and promotion of cultural heritage is an important factor in strengthening mutual trust and solidarity among Turkic states.
At the meeting, it was noted that the reforms being implemented in Uzbekistan, in particular the initiatives led by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, are giving new momentum to integration processes in the Turkic world. From this perspective, the Center of Islamic Civilization established in Tashkent was recognized as a major scientific and educational center.
Joint events planned for implementation this year were also discussed. In particular, an agreement was reached to hold the Youth Forum of Turkic-Speaking States in Uzbekistan for the first time in 2026.
This forum is scheduled to take place in October, and it is expected to be attended by about 300 young people who have achieved success in the fields of economy, culture, education, and sports.
