A 17-year-old citizen of Uzbekistan who faced violence and forced labor in Turkey has been returned to her homeland. The Migration Agency reported this. According to the information, the underage citizen was taken to Turkey under the pretext of studying. There, she encountered attempts of forced marriage, physical violence, and forced labor. Following this, she applied to the Consulate General of Uzbekistan in Istanbul.
Her return to Uzbekistan was also ensured using the funds of the Migration Fund. According to the Migration Agency, the issues of ensuring the safety, as well as the socio-legal and psychological protection of the underage citizen, have been placed under the control of relevant organizations.
