The court qualified the employee's actions as petty hooliganism. He will also be required to pay 330 thousand sums for the costs of detention in a special reception center.
An employee of the Brasserie restaurant in Tashkent was sentenced to five days of administrative arrest for insulting a 17-year-old courier riding a scooter. This was stated in the decision of the Mirobod District Court for Criminal Cases dated October 18, 2026.
According to court materials, the incident occurred on October 17 at around 15:30 in front of the restaurant located on Islam Karimov Street. S.R., working as a driver at "ONE MORE" LLC, told the courier passing by the restaurant on a scooter that he should not ride in that area. Following a disagreement, he insulted the courier with obscene language.
A video capturing the incident spread on social networks and caused widespread discussion. It showed the restaurant employee objecting to the courier riding his scooter through the area where customers were sitting and insulting him.
During the court session, S.R. partially pleaded guilty, stating that he wanted to object to the courier's actions, but swore in the heat of anger and expressed remorse for his deed.
The court qualified his actions under Article 183 of the Administrative Responsibility Code, namely petty hooliganism, and sentenced him to five days of administrative arrest. The parts of the case related to disobedience to the legitimate demands of internal affairs officers and insults were dismissed as they were not confirmed by relevant evidence.
It was also determined that 330 thousand sums would be collected from S.R. to cover the costs of detention in the special reception center. Following the incident, violations were also detected in the summer terrace of the Brasserie restaurant located in the "Blue Domes" park, and the area was brought into compliance with legislative requirements.
