According to the court decision, on September 23 of last year, employees of the State Tax Inspectorate of Mirzo Ulugbek district of Tashkent city conducted an inspection at the bookstore belonging to Khayrulla Asadov.
As a result of the inspection, it was revealed that Asadov did not issue a purchase receipt for 20 thousand sums to the customer and did not enter the 20 thousand sums received from daily sales into the memory of the online control cash register, and at the same time operated without documents.
During the court session, Khayrulla Asadov stated that he regretted his actions, promised not to commit such actions again, and asked the court for leniency.
By the decision of the Mirzo Ulugbek District Court for Criminal Cases dated January 6, 2026, Asadov was found to have committed the offense stipulated in Part 1 of Article 176 of the Administrative Responsibility Code, and was fined in the amount of 5 times the Base Calculation Amount (2 million 60 thousand sums).
Also, 100 books of 3 types belonging to Khayrulla Asadov worth 1 million 520 thousand sums were confiscated in the prescribed manner.
Tashkent city courts commented on this situation:
"There is a difference between spirituality and trade. It is true that a book is a medium of spirituality, but it is considered a commodity for sale, and the seller must comply with trading rules," the statement reads.
