In it, deep respect and sincere gratitude were expressed to the head of state for organizing the prestigious forum at a high international level. Participants specifically emphasized that the conference has become an important global platform serving for the comprehensive study, understanding, and promotion of the heritage of the Great Temurid era.

The forum, held in the cities of Tashkent and Samarkand, brought together representatives of the scientific community, international organizations, and cultural institutions. Within the framework of plenary and breakout sessions, more than 200 scientific papers were presented. They covered a wide range of topics, from public administration and diplomacy during the Temurid era to science, art, architecture, and cultural policy.

Participants specifically noted that the ideas put forward in the message of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan to the conference participants will serve as an important guideline for future research. In particular, attention was drawn to issues of studying the Second Renaissance during the Temurid era and deeply analyzing its contribution to the development of world civilization.

In the address sent to the President, it was emphasized that the heritage of Amir Temur and the Great Temurid dynasty is an integral part of world history. It was also noted that the statehood mindset of Sahibkiran, his attention to science, culture, urban planning, diplomacy, and the principles of fair governance retain their significance today.

According to the results of the conference, international participants presented a package of practical initiatives aimed at a new stage of studying the Temurid heritage. As the most important outcome, an international “roadmap” was adopted. It provides for a comprehensive study of the era, the expansion of scientific programs, the development of interdisciplinary approaches, as well as the strengthening of work on the preservation, restoration, and digitalization of manuscript, archival, and museum heritage. At the same time, modernizing educational programs aimed at fostering a sense of respect for historical heritage in youth, promoting the cultural objects of the Great Temurid era in the international arena, and systematically supporting young researchers through grants, scientific projects, and academic initiatives were identified as priority tasks.

Special attention was also paid to the need to further strengthen international cooperation. In particular, expanding joint projects with the participation of the World Society for the Study, Preservation, and Promotion of the Cultural Heritage of Uzbekistan was noted as an important task.

In the speeches of foreign guests, special emphasis was placed on the results of large-scale reforms being implemented in New Uzbekistan in the field of preserving and promoting historical and cultural heritage.

Farhan Ahmad Nizami, Director of the Oxford Centre for Islamic Studies, noted:

“Our visit to the recently renovated Temurid Museum left a very big impression on us. The high-level solution of the exposition, its substantive depth, and the attention paid to historical authenticity demonstrate a serious and systematic approach to heritage preservation. I express my sincere gratitude to President Shavkat Mirziyoyev for this important project.”

The Center of Islamic Civilization in Uzbekistan was also highly praised at the international level and recognized as a prestigious scientific and educational platform on a global scale.

As Dr. Miljana Radivojević, project leader at the Institute of Archaeology, University College London, noted, the Center has undergone major changes in a short time and has today become the brightest example of a modern museum and scientific space:

“When I was here last May, it was still in the formative stage. Today, we have before us a fully realized project that amazes with its scale, substantive depth, and visual appeal. Most importantly, the Center is not limited to just exhibitions, but is forming a holistic scientific and educational ecosystem combining research, education, and knowledge popularization.”

As part of the cultural program, participants visited the city of Samarkand and got acquainted with the new large complex and innovative museum dedicated to Imam Bukhari. This facility was highly praised by international experts as a model that presents spiritual heritage in a modern interpretation, combining scientific accuracy, architectural expression, and advanced museum technologies. As noted, this project implemented in Samarkand sets new global standards in the field of preserving, studying, and promoting Islamic civilization.

Salih Shahsawari, Director of the Al-Furqan Foundation, said:

“Today in Uzbekistan, priority importance is given at the state level to issues of preserving and developing Islamic heritage. Modern and well-thought-out complexes like Imam Bukhari, built on the initiative of the President, demonstrate a deep respect for great spiritual heritage and open new opportunities for its scientific study and transmission to future generations. This is an important step towards integrating national cultural heritage into the global scientific and educational space.”

The conference was organized as part of a comprehensive series of international events dedicated to the 690th anniversary of the birth of Amir Temur and brought together specialists to discuss the place of his heritage in the modern scientific and cultural space. Participants emphasized that the initiatives implemented in Uzbekistan in the fields of science, culture, and the preservation of historical heritage are receiving increasing interest and recognition from the international community, which creates new opportunities for scientific exchange and cooperation.
