A delegation led by the Ambassador of Sweden to Uzbekistan, Tomas Danestad, visited the Center of Islamic Civilization in Uzbekistan, praising the harmony of history, modern technologies, and educational approach displayed here.
It was especially noted that through the Center's exhibitions, the three-thousand-year history formed in the territory of Uzbekistan, various cultural influences, and the dialogue of civilizations are revealed in a consistent and impressive manner.
The guests emphasized that this major scientific and educational project, implemented on the initiative of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, plays an important role in preserving the country's rich historical heritage, promoting it in a modern way, and conveying it to the international community.
In particular, original artifacts, multimedia solutions, interactive opportunities created for youth, and the experience of presenting heritage in a modern way aroused great interest among the members of the delegation.
It is noteworthy that representatives of Sweden's trade and economic sectors also took part in the visit. The guests noted that through the Center's exhibitions, not only Uzbekistan's rich historical heritage is clearly demonstrated, but also its striving for international cooperation, openness, and intercultural dialogue.
Sharing his impressions of the Center, Kristofer Berri, representative of the Swedish National Board of Trade, said:
“The visit to the Center was very interesting and meaningful for us. Here, Uzbekistan's long history, various cultural influences, and the country's openness to the world are presented in an impressive way. Especially, the interactive opportunities created for youth, the effective use of technologies, and the approach to presenting heritage in a modern way left a great impression on me.”
The members of the delegation emphasized that such scientific and educational centers serve to strengthen mutual understanding between peoples, expand cultural dialogue, and enrich international cooperation with new content.
