Forward Cristiano Ronaldo will rejoin the Portugal national team squad during the international break in November.

"The federation, the coach, and all his teammates are on the same page: we want Cristiano to return. He is also ready to come back. I expect him to return as early as the November international break," – said Proenca.

Ronaldo had unilaterally left the national team camp following a disagreement with head coach Jorge Jesus in Copenhagen on September 30, ahead of the UEFA Nations League match against Denmark. Cristiano did not take the field in the match against Norway and accused the coach of violating verbal agreements regarding playing time.

Later, Ronaldo apologized for leaving the national team and expressed his readiness to accept any punishment while retaining his desire to play for the national team.
