Drug traffickers from a neighboring country were detained

Drug addiction is one of the global problems that currently poses a serious threat to society's development, public health, and the future of the younger generation. Not only does it negatively affect human physical and mental health, but it also disrupts family peace, leads to an increase in crime, and shatters social stability.

Combating the illicit trafficking of narcotic drugs is one of the most important tasks facing law enforcement agencies.

In particular, during an operational event conducted jointly by the officers of the State Security Service and the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the sale of a large batch of drugs was thwarted.

Specifically, two citizens of a neighboring country, born in 1972 and 1976, were detained with material evidence in Tashkent Region while illegally bringing 2 kg and 18 grams of pure opium into our country via bypass routes and selling it to an undercover buyer for 20,000 US dollars.

Currently, a criminal case has been initiated against them, and investigative actions are underway.
