President honors cultural and art figures: 24 creators awarded posthumously

A solemn ceremony for presenting state awards to workers in the fields of culture, art, and literature took place at the International Congress Center in Tashkent. President Shavkat Mirziyoev attended the event and delivered a speech.

In his address, the Head of State specifically emphasized that the country's strength is determined not only by economic indicators, but also by its spirituality, culture, and art. It was noted that the role of intellectuals and representatives of the creative sector in strengthening the national spirit within society is incomparable in the building of New Uzbekistan.

This year, 167 advanced representatives of the field were awarded high state honors. Among them are writers, singers, theater and cinema representatives, bakhshis and askiya performers, artisans, and museum staff who have worked effectively for many years.

Notably, paying tribute to the memory of 24 luminaries of literature and art who are no longer with us today, they were awarded these honors posthumously. In his speech, the President stated that properly recognizing the services of departed creators is a spiritual duty of our people.

At the ceremony, Shavkat Mirziyoev solemnly presented honorary titles, orders, and medals to the recipients. In turn, the creators expressed their gratitude to the Head of State for the extensive conditions created and the high level of attention.
