On March 2, issues related to the implementation of this task were discussed at a video selector meeting held in the Cabinet of Ministers.
Specific tasks were defined at the video selector meeting to take necessary measures for the safe and systematic repatriation of citizens to their homeland. All airlines in the country were instructed to take measures to return compatriots currently staying in the Persian Gulf states.
In particular, the task of paying special attention to organizing repatriation flights on the Jeddah–Tashkent route was assigned.
At the meeting, heads of relevant ministries and departments were instructed to analyze the implementation status of current agreements with the Persian Gulf states, as well as to consider alternative routes for export-import operations. It was noted that all necessary measures will be implemented promptly depending on the situation.
For information, all airlines in Uzbekistan had temporarily suspended taking pilgrims to Saudi Arabia under the Umrah program until further notice, and starting from March 2, 2026, "Uzbekistan Airways" was scheduled to operate special repatriation flights on the Jeddah–Tashkent route to return our compatriots to their homeland.
