The Center of Islamic Civilization in Uzbekistan left a great impression on international guests

High-ranking guests closely familiarized themselves with the activities of the Center, the content of the exhibitions, and modern presentation methods.

Formed on the basis of more than eight hundred scientific projects, this unique institution currently showcases Uzbekistan's nearly 3,000-year history under a single concept. Combining historical heritage with modern technologies, the Center is recognized not only as a museum but also as a scientific and educational platform.

It is worth noting that one of the sections that left the biggest impression on the members of the delegation was the exhibition dedicated to the pre-Islamic period. In particular, the interactive map of the Great Silk Road aroused great interest among the guests. Formed in the 2nd century BC and connecting the East and the West for nearly 18 centuries, this trade route is vividly reflected in the Center through modern visual technologies.

Also, the unique chess pieces found in the Dalvarzintepa area were in the focus of the delegation's attention. According to scientific research, these finds were created four centuries earlier than the chess pieces discovered in India, which confirms that the territory of Uzbekistan was one of the oldest centers of chess.

The guests also got acquainted with the heritage of prominent representatives of Central Asian science history in the section dedicated to the First Renaissance. Among them, scholars such as Abu Nasr Farabi, Abu Ali ibn Sina, Ahmad al-Farghani, and Abu Rayhan Biruni occupy a special place. In particular, great interest was expressed in the 14th-century Hebrew translation (facsimile edition) of Ibn Sina's work "The Canon of Medicine" and the rare copy of "Kitab ash-Shifa" copied in Herat in 1494.

Krzysztof Gawkowski, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Poland:

«The Center of Islamic Civilization in Uzbekistan is a unique place where culture and history harmonize. This complex serves the rich historical heritage of all humanity.

The Center inspires visitors through education, history, and interactive experiences. Here, a person does not just watch the exhibits, but deeply feels them and experiences the culture firsthand.

Most notably, visitors are transformed from passive observers into active participants who explore artifacts with the help of modern technology and even directly experience some of them.

This place occupies a special place in the world with its uniqueness and beauty. Anyone interested in history should come to Uzbekistan, especially to Tashkent, and feel the heart of Islamic civilization in this center.

This is truly a unique and special place — it illuminates the whole world with its light. Everyone striving for a deep understanding of knowledge, culture, and history will come here and experience true history. The spirit of Islamic civilization is felt at every point in this place. I will definitely come back here again.»

Uzbekistan is gaining increasingly greater attention on the international stage by combining its rich historical heritage with modern development. In this sense, the Center of Islamic Civilization in Uzbekistan, built on the initiative of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, is considered one of the most important centers demonstrating the scientific and educational potential of the country.
