In January–August of the current year, the volume of the metallurgical industry in Uzbekistan amounted to nearly 243.6 trillion soums. The National Statistics Committee reported this.

This figure increased by 7.8 percent compared to the corresponding period of 2025.

By region, the largest volume was recorded in Navoi region at 157.6 trillion soums. In Tashkent region, the volume of the metallurgical industry amounted to 62 trillion soums, and in Tashkent city, it reached 14.5 trillion soums.

In Samarkand region, metallurgical products worth 6.2 trillion soums were produced, in Namangan — 898.3 billion soums, and in Syrdarya — 875.9 billion soums. In Jizzakh region, the figure stood at 403.8 billion soums, in Fergana — 347.3 billion soums, in Bukhara — 258.8 billion soums, and in Surkhandarya — 145.8 billion soums.

In the Republic of Karakalpakstan, the volume of the metallurgical industry was 114.5 billion soums, in Andijan — 50 billion soums, in Khorezm — 36.2 billion soums, and in Kashkadarya — 23.8 billion soums.
