At the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis, deputy Qizilgul Qosimova addressed Minister of Culture Ozodbek Nazarbekov with a question regarding the depiction of conflicts between mothers-in-law and daughters-in-law in certain TV series and films, and whether it is appropriate to allocate state budget funds to such projects.
In her appeal, the deputy asked for clarification on how such series centered around family disputes affect the spirituality of society.
In response to the question, Minister of Culture Ozodbek Nazarbekov emphasized that spiritual criteria have not been clearly defined in society on this matter.
"We don't know the limit of spirituality, where is it?" — said the minister.
According to him, it is necessary to further improve approaches regarding the content of movies and TV series, their impact on society, and projects financed at the expense of state funds.
