Citizens' appeals under control
Today, the openness of state bodies and officials getting closer to the people has become the main criterion of reforms. During an open dialogue with Sardor Ergashev, the 15th khokim of this district, which was established in 1978, the region's pain points, drivers of economic growth, and problems troubling the population were brought to the table.

The workday started with a citizen reception. During the reception, the population's appeals regarding housing, financial assistance, social protection, and infrastructure were heard.
Specific tasks were assigned to responsible officials regarding each appeal, and the duty to ensure their implementation within established deadlines was set. Relevant instructions were given to provide social assistance to certain citizens, resolve housing-related problems, and study legal issues.

Social protection: repaired apartments inspected
During the visit, houses being repaired and already repaired for socially vulnerable families were inspected.
It was noted that these works are being carried out in cooperation with funds allocated by the President and the Inson Social Services Center.

The owner of the repaired apartment expressed gratitude for the work done, noting that the exterior and interior of the house have been renewed, the heating system has been replaced, and living conditions have significantly improved.

New sidewalk to be built for pedestrian safety
The issue of ensuring student safety in the school area of the Ayrota mahalla was discussed. Based on the appeals of mahalla residents and parents, a decision was made to build a pedestrian walkway leading to the school. The khokim instructed the officials to prepare the design and estimate documentation in a short time and complete the construction work by August 1.
It was also determined that road signs would be installed in the area and environmental issues would be resolved in cooperation with relevant agencies.
New school will be ready by September 1
The new 600-seat academic building under construction for school No. 1 in the district center was also inspected. Currently, nearly 2,700 students study at this school. Once the new building is put into operation, the workload at the school is expected to decrease significantly.

The project provides for modern classrooms, surveillance cameras, all conditions for inclusive education, elevators, and special sanitary facilities.
New investment projects will create jobs
The khokim stated that the category of 350 hectares of land in the district has been changed, of which an industrial park will be organized on 117 hectares.
Within the framework of this project, it is planned to:
● Create 15,000 new jobs;
● Establish 250 new business entities;
● Produce import-substituting and export-oriented products.
It was also announced that the plan to build multi-story residential buildings with 40,000 apartments by 2029 is being implemented.

Waterfront project becoming a new destination for residents
The waterfront landscaping project being implemented in the Bogizilol mahalla was also introduced to journalists.

Within the project, pedestrian walkways, safety railings, and recreation areas have been built along the canal, and service facilities are also planned to be constructed in the future. The khokim noted that this area will serve for the meaningful recreation of the population and the promotion of a healthy lifestyle.

“I am also ready to acknowledge shortcomings”
At the end of the visit, an open dialogue took place with representatives of the mass media.
The khokim emphasized that the activities of journalists are of great importance for state bodies, stating that criticism and objections serve to increase work efficiency.
“Your criticisms are a lesson for us. I am ready to acknowledge shortcomings as well. I am also ready to eliminate the objections raised by you. There is no running away from this,” — said the khokim of Tashkent district.
He noted that solving public appeals in a timely manner, openness, and effective cooperation with the mass media are among the priority directions of the district khokimiyat's activities.
Such changes being carried out in Tashkent district, while serving the well-being of the people, also inspire hope that many unresolved issues in the region will be eliminated through openness and a systematic approach.
