The level of mechanization of cotton harvesting in the region reached 98.5 percent. This is the highest indicator among the regions of the republic.

In the 2026 cotton season, the volume of harvesting crops using modern machinery in Uzbekistan increased significantly. As of October 22, 4 million 630 thousand tons of cotton were harvested across the country, which made up 103 percent of the set plan.

In this process, the Jizzakh region recorded the highest result in the republic in terms of the level of mechanization. 98.5 percent of the cotton harvest in the region was collected using modern cotton harvesting machines.

By region, this indicator made up 94.2 percent in the Syrdarya region, and 81.2 percent in the Tashkent region. Thus, Jizzakh showed a higher result by 4.3 percentage points compared to Syrdarya, and by 17.3 percentage points compared to the Tashkent region.

3 million 515 thousand 597 tons of the harvested cotton across the country was picked using nearly 3 thousand modern cotton harvesting machines.

According to experts, mechanizing the harvesting process allows for collecting the crop in a short period, reducing the need for manual labor, and making efficient use of available labor resources.

Currently, harvesting work continues in the cotton fields. The main task is to collect the grown crop without losses and conclude the season with high results.

The 98.5 percent indicator in the Jizzakh region is being recorded as the highest result in the republic regarding the use of modern agricultural machinery in cotton growing.

This is primarily evaluated as a practical result of the attention being paid to the mechanization of agriculture, the efficient use of modern machinery, and the high-level organization of cotton harvesting under the initiative and leadership of the regional governor Ulugbek Mustafoyev.
