Your Excellency, Mr. President!
We, the participants of the 1st International Forum on Islamic Civilization – representing heads of prestigious international organizations, scientific and educational structures in foreign countries, ministers, muftis, renowned scholars, universities, research institutes, libraries, museums, and cultural institutions from more than fifty countries around the world – address You with sincere gratitude and profound respect.
First of all, we would like to specifically emphasize that the 1st International Forum on Islamic Civilization, held at Your direct initiative and with Your personal support, was a monumental event by its very nature and significance that transcended the level of standard international scientific events and gained high recognition.
Undoubtedly, the profound thoughts and ideas put forward in Your address to the participants of the Forum defined the scope, purpose, and meaning of the issues discussed at this gathering, which remained in the focus of the world public for four days.
We can say with confidence that this forum, with the participation of leading figures of science and enlightenment from the Muslim world, has inaugurated a new stage of global cooperation aimed at studying, preserving, safeguarding, and widely promoting the rich heritage of Islamic civilization as an integral part of humanity's common spiritual, cultural, and intellectual wealth.
Holding the conference in historical cities of Uzbekistan such as Tashkent, Samarkand, and Bukhara further enhanced its enlightening spirit and significance. It was in these blessed lands that great scientific schools were formed over the centuries, and fundamental works were created that gave a powerful impetus to the development of theology, philosophy, medicine, mathematics, astronomy, and other sciences. Benevolent ideas and discoveries that exerted a tremendous influence on the progress of all humanity also spread globally from these very cities.
We today gratefully acknowledge that the noble initiative put forward by You in September 2017 at the 72nd Session of the United Nations General Assembly regarding the establishment of the Center of Islamic Civilization in Uzbekistan has been one of the most important international humanitarian initiatives of the past decade, serving as a turning point in understanding the great history and culture of this land as a holistic educational phenomenon. This historic event created wide opportunities to unite the international scientific community in interpreting and promoting the incomparable contribution of Islamic civilization to the development of world science, culture, and spirituality, and became an important step on the path to building the intellectual and spiritual foundations of the New Era of Rebirth – the Third Renaissance.
Today we also deeply comprehend that this initiative was a far-sighted and timely effective response to contemporary threats and dangers. At a time when attempts are being observed in various regions of the world to distort the humanitarian essence of the Islamic religion, pit cultures and civilizations against each other, and diminish the great contribution made by Muslim scholars to the development of world science and culture, You offered a constructive path based on enlightenment, scientific thinking, respect for historical truth, and the re-presentation of the genuine heritage of Islamic civilization to the world community. Thus, an important step forward was made in restoring historical justice, strengthening the culture of open scientific dialogue, developing mutual respect and international humanitarian cooperation.
It must be noted that today these noble aspirations are acquiring special global significance. After all, it is precisely the unification of knowledge, historical memory, and the intellectual potential of peoples that serves to strengthen mutual trust among states, effectively combat extremism, radicalism, and intolerance, deepen mutual understanding between civilizations, and create a solid spiritual foundation for peace, sustainable development, and creativity.
Your Address, embodying such topical ideas, will undoubtedly remain a great historical and programmatic document for our future joint activities.
We all see how the Center of Islamic Civilization – the product of the high will and wisdom characteristic of the President of Uzbekistan, and the ability to view history, the present, and the future as a single continuous process – is turning not only into a world-class modern scientific and educational complex, but at the same time into a prestigious dialogue platform uniting various states, international organizations, leading scholars, scientific institutions, universities, libraries, museums, and spiritual-educational centers to implement joint projects aimed at studying, preserving, and widely promoting the priceless heritage within this unique process. We are confident that in the coming years, this place will take a worthy place among the leading international centers in the field of humanities and science, and will transform into a major cultural, educational, and educational platform where new ideas, joint scientific research, and long-term international projects will take shape.
The large-scale reforms being implemented in the Republic of Uzbekistan for the preservation of spiritual, scientific, and cultural heritage left a great impression on us. Unique institutions such as the Center of Islamic Civilization, the renovated Imam Bukhari Memorial Complex, international research centers named after Imam Bukhari, Imam Maturidi, and Imam Termizi, the International Islamic Academy, and the Tashkent Islamic Institute named after Imam Bukhari are a vivid practical expression of the consistent state policy pursued in the direction of preserving historical memory, developing fundamental science, and strengthening international humanitarian cooperation.
In a word, the Republic of Uzbekistan, as one of the ancient cradles of Islamic science, culture, and enlightenment, is once again strengthening its primordial position today in terms of humanitarian cooperation, scientific research, and dialogue between civilizations.
Your Excellency, Mr. President!
It is particularly noteworthy that the 1st International Forum on Islamic Civilization was held under the motto "Peace, Tolerance, and Enlightenment." These indestructible values, interconnected and embodying the humanitarian essence of Islamic civilization, are of incomparable significance for today's modern world as well. This great heritage is considered an integral part of the cultural, spiritual, and intellectual wealth of all humanity. Naturally, this places a great responsibility on international organizations, states, the scientific community, and all people striving to strengthen peace, mutual understanding, and cooperation to preserve it, study it comprehensively, and pass it on to future generations.
We fully support the Declaration adopted as a result of the Forum and the "road map" aimed at preserving, studying, and developing Islamic civilization as a solid foundation for long-term international cooperation. We sincerely hope that You will continue to lead and comprehensively support the efforts aimed at implementing the initiatives outlined therein, strengthening international cooperation, preserving our common spiritual heritage, and developing Islamic civilization along the path of peace, enlightenment, and mutual understanding.
In order to put the decisions of the Forum into practical life, we intend to put forward the initiative to establish the World Alliance of Islamic Civilization, in consultation with You. We believe that the activities of this Alliance will serve to coordinate joint research, train highly qualified specialists, develop academic exchanges, implement international projects related to publishing work, preserve and widely promote samples of cultural heritage, and further strengthen humanitarian cooperation between states.
The decisions adopted during the Forum clearly confirm that this noble initiative born on the soil of Uzbekistan is receiving wide support on an international scale and is becoming a common cause of the scientific and spiritual community in the world.
We once again declare our readiness to unite our intellectual, scientific, and spiritual potential in implementing these decisions, preserving the great heritage of Islamic civilization, and passing it on to future generations. We believe that these decisions adopted in the ancient land of Uzbekistan will serve as a solid basis for a new stage of international cooperation in the field of studying, preserving, and widely promoting the heritage of Islamic civilization. While adopting this Appeal, we once again acknowledge that we are assuming a great common responsibility for the implementation of these decisions, and we express our readiness to always stand side by side with You and work in the path of preserving peace, enlightenment, mutual respect, and the great spiritual and intellectual heritage that is considered an organic part of all humanity's wealth.
Respected Mr. President!

We wish success in Your efforts directed at implementing the strategy of New Uzbekistan, creating the foundation of the Third Renaissance, and further strengthening the high position, fame, and prestige of this sacred land as one of the leading centers in the world regarding science, enlightenment, Islamic civilization, humanitarian cooperation, and dialogue between civilizations.
May Almighty Allah grant blessings and prosperity to Your noble intentions and efforts!
