“A land where knowledge and faith unite”: Uzbekistan's civilizational heritage recognized

Speaking at the I International Forum of Islamic Civilization, Secretary General of the Muslim World League Muhammad bin Abdulkarim al-Issa emphasized that for centuries Uzbekistan has been one of the most important centers shaping the science, enlightenment, and high moral values of Islamic civilization.

According to him, the fact that the forum is being held in a land that embodies the brilliant pages of Muslim heritage is of special symbolic significance. Uzbekistan is attracting the attention of the international community not only with its rich historical heritage, but also with its efforts today to preserve this heritage and harmonize it with modern development.

Muhammad bin Abdulkarim al-Issa recognized Samarkand as a pearl of the Great Silk Road and one of the important centers for the development of Islamic architecture, and Bukhara as one of the largest centers of learning in the Muslim world for centuries. He also specifically noted that this land is a sacred place that produced the great muhaddith Imam Bukhari, as well as many other scholars.

The Secretary General noted that Islamic civilization was built on the basis of science, enlightenment, and high moral values, providing humanity not only with majestic architectural monuments, but also with a rich scientific, legal, and spiritual heritage. Therefore, understanding the true essence of this civilization and harmonizing its scientific heritage with modern development remains one of the pressing tasks today.

During his speech, expressing one of his most touching thoughts about Uzbekistan, he stated: "We know well and are pleased that Uzbekistan is not just a simple state on the map. It is one of the brightest pages written in the book of Islamic civilization."

Muhammad bin Abdulkarim al-Issa also highly praised the work being done in our country to preserve Islamic, scientific, and cultural heritage and widely promote it internationally. In particular, the Center of Islamic Civilization in Uzbekistan in Tashkent and the Imam Bukhari memorial complex built in Samarkand were recognized as the largest scientific and educational centers of the Muslim world.

It was also noted that research aimed at studying the rich scientific heritage of Imam Bukhari, Imam Tirmidhi, and Imam Maturidi at the Center is of vital importance not only for Uzbekistan, but for the entire Muslim world.

Concluding his speech, the Secretary General of the Muslim World League expressed confidence that the forum would serve to further strengthen the ideas of enlightenment, tolerance, and mutual solidarity, and that the initiatives adopted during it would widely promote the true humanistic essence of Islamic civilization to the whole world.
