Economic Cooperation Organization Secretary General Asad Majeed Khan shared his thoughts on bilateral relations and the positive changes taking place in our country in recent years during his visit to Uzbekistan:

"As the Secretary General of the Economic Cooperation Organization, I would like to emphasize that there are many commonalities connecting our countries and peoples. First of all, we are united by a rich and shared history. A vivid example of this is the fact that Zahiriddin Muhammad Babur, the great commander who founded the Mughal Empire on the lands of Pakistan and India, originated precisely from this soil of Uzbekistan," — said the ECO leader.

In his speech, the Secretary General acknowledged that Uzbekistan's role within the organization is of strategic importance and that the ideas put forward by the head of our state are yielding practical results.

"From this perspective, Uzbekistan is one of the very important and pillar members of the Economic Cooperation Organization. We consistently support and welcome the large-scale and effective initiatives put forward by Uzbekistan, in particular by Esteemed President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, in recent years. These initiatives are of utmost importance in taking our organization's activities to a new level, developing it, and strengthening cooperation among member states," — concluded Asad Majeed Khan.
