The wife of the Road Safety Inspector who died on Dormon Road has appealed to EFFECT.UZ. On July 16 of this year, a severe traffic accident involving Road Safety inspectors occurred in the Mirzo Ulugbek district of Tashkent. As a result of the incident, the Road Safety inspector died at the scene, and the driver of the "Onix" car that collided with him passed away in the hospital a few days later.
The wife of the late inspector appealed to the editorial office, stating that despite more than two months having passed, the social assistance and payments provided by law have not yet been made to the family of the employee who died while on duty.
According to her, the deceased left behind two underage children. However, social benefits have not been assigned to them so far, nor has the family received one-time financial assistance or other payments.
How did the accident happen?
On July 16, at around 18:30, three Road Safety inspectors were riding patrol motorcycles on Dormon Yuli Street when they collided with an "Onix" car that entered the intersection from Ghazalkent Street.
The late inspector's wife applied to higher authorities, asking to ensure the family's rights defined by law.
The appeal also noted that the process of giving a legal assessment to the actions of the late employee regarding his death is ongoing, and his actions are being examined within the framework of the criminal case.
Ministry of Internal Affairs: A legal assessment will be given first
EFFECT.UZ contacted the press secretary of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Shokhrukh Giyosov, to clarify the situation.
According to him, social issues will be resolved after a legal assessment of the traffic accident is given.
"In any situation, a legal assessment is given first. Based on the resulting consequence, subsequent social issues are resolved," said the press secretary of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
He also recommended obtaining a written response from the relevant investigative body. However, as the editorial office was informed, since the investigative actions are ongoing, the authorized body has not yet deemed it appropriate to comment on the process.
Reports about the motorcade were also denied
After the accident, reports circulated on social networks that the Road Safety inspectors on motorcycles were escorting the President's motorcade. At that time, the Road Safety Service of the Public Security Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs denied this information.
Currently, investigative actions regarding the traffic accident are ongoing. For this reason, a final conclusion regarding the causes of the incident, the legal assessment of the participants' actions, and the issue of social payments due to the family of the deceased employee has not yet been announced.
