"You want to come back here again." Head of Bashkortostan assesses the Center of Islamic Civilization in Uzbekistan

A delegation led by Radiy Khabirov, the Head of the Republic of Bashkortostan of the Russian Federation, visited the Center of Islamic Civilization in Uzbekistan. The guests familiarized themselves with the museum's exhibitions and gave high praise to the complex.

Officially recognized as the "largest Museum of Islamic Civilization in the world" and honored with a prestigious title from Guinness World Records, the Center of Islamic Civilization in Uzbekistan welcomed another major international delegation today. A delegation led by Radiy Khabirov, Head of the Republic of Bashkortostan of the Russian Federation, closely familiarized itself with the Center's activities and exhibitions.

It was particularly noted that the Center has recently become a busier and more attractive destination with a growing influx of local and foreign visitors. This visit is not the first for Radiy Khabirov. He emphasized that he had visited the Center before, prior to the official opening ceremony, and came once again after the opening. According to him, each time this place leaves as strong and vivid an impression on him as during his first visit.

He also noted, together with his wife Karine Khabirova, that the atmosphere, content, and level of presentation created at the Center reveal new facets each time.

During the visit, the Center's management expressed their satisfaction with the delegation's return visit. Radiy Khabirov, in turn, congratulated the management on the Center's inclusion in Guinness World Records and emphasized that this project, implemented at the initiative of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, is truly worthy of international recognition.

The delegation began its acquaintance with the Center's exhibitions from the pre-Islamic period section. Here, the layout of Koykyrilgan-Kala aroused great interest among the guests. It was emphasized that this monument dating back to the II–VI centuries AD holds special significance as it served not only as a human settlement but also as an observatory in its time.

In the First Renaissance period section, the Samarkand paper, a 1988 Kaaba cover, and Kaaba keys created in Egypt during the Mamluk period in the XII–XIV centuries left a great impression on the guests. These rare exhibits were praised as vivid examples demonstrating the high cultural and spiritual level of Islamic civilization.

Radiy Khabirov, Head of the Republic of Bashkortostan of the Russian Federation:

«This is an extremely marvelous complex, truly unique. However, its most important aspect is not just its appearance. When I read the views of Esteemed President Shavkat Miromonovich about this center, they deeply touched my heart. Because the main goal of the complex is to demonstrate the true, enlightening, and humanistic essence of the Islamic religion to the general public. After all, Islam is truly a great religion calling for humanity, goodness, science, education, and progress. I specially emphasized this thought during my meeting with the President of Uzbekistan. It is particularly significant that all work is carried out based precisely on this idea.

I have never seen such a beautiful and perfect structure before. It is no coincidence that this is my third time visiting this place. I even came twice during the construction process to get closely acquainted with the progress. This place has become close to my heart and inspires a desire to return here again.

Especially, the fact that one of the greatest sacred relics of the Islamic world — the Uthman Quran — is kept here is of utmost importance. This is a great spiritual and scientific value not only for Muslims, but for all enlightened people. We have also prepared a modern copy of the Quran and keep it carefully in our museum in the city of Ufa. Therefore, it is natural that not only Muslims, but also representatives of various fields visit this place again and again.

The museum exhibition is organized very thoroughly and based on modern requirements. Here, traditional art forms—such as mosaic and wood carving—are presented in harmony with modern technologies. Such an approach is of great importance in conveying one's history and civilization to the younger generation in a modern, impressive way.

Also, the architectural solution of the center, the thorough thought put into every aspect, and its rich content deserve special recognition. As known, the center started its activities recently — in March. Naturally, over time, it will be further enriched with new exhibits and artifacts. This means that this place will be in a process of continuous development. For example, the mapping show that I witnessed today did not exist previously. Therefore, I believe that during each visit, the opportunity arises to discover new aspects.

The development strategy until 2050 presented in the "New Uzbekistan — Foundation of a New Renaissance" section was highly praised by the members of the delegation. They emphasized that they clearly felt the seamless connection between history and the future here.

During the visit, the delegation specifically noted that every aspect of the Center embodies the initiative and direct attention of the head of state. Radiy Khabirov, Head of the Republic of Bashkortostan, left his feedback in the Book of Honored Guests, highly appreciating the scientific, spiritual, and cultural significance of the Center.
