The exhibition features artifacts reflecting the rich history of scientific and cultural ties between the two peoples.
Uzbekistan's Minister of Foreign Affairs, Baxtiyor Saidov, together with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, participated in the exhibition titled "Uzbekistan and the US: A Shared History Across Centuries and Continents," organized within the framework of the "C5+1" ministerial meeting. Baxtiyor Saidov announced this on his social media page.
As noted, the exhibition includes exhibits reflecting the rich history of scientific and cultural ties between the two nations. Among them are the scientific heritage of Alfraganus (Ahmad al-Farghani), American writer Edgar Allan Poe's poetry collection dedicated to Amir Temur, as well as works by American travelers about Uzbekistan.
Additionally, the exhibition displayed materials related to the sister city ties established in 1973 between Tashkent and Seattle.
The Minister emphasized that deeply studying and widely promoting this shared history serves to strengthen mutual understanding between the peoples of Uzbekistan and the United States, and to further develop cooperation in science and culture.
